Abstract
Esta tesis doctoral presenta una investigación sobre aquellas intervenciones artísticas fundamentadas en ilusiones ópticas que se manifiestan en entornos urbanos, así como su interacción con el espacio y el espectador. Para ello, se realiza un análisis desde el punto de vista de la contextualización de estos lenguajes plásticos, hasta las estrategias que los artistas llevan a cabo para activar una relación dinámica e ilusoria entre la obra, el espacio que ocupa y el público. La investigación parte de la hipótesis de que la inclusión de ilusiones ópticas en intervenciones artísticas en el entorno urbano supone un factor modificador del espacio que genera nuevas relaciones entre la ciudad y el habitante aportando diferentes lecturas del contexto en el que se encuentran. Para demostrar este enunciado, se ha llevado a cabo una metodología basada principalmente en la recopilación y revisión bibliográfica de fuentes de diversa índole complementada con un trabajo de campo que incluye estudios de caso, encuentros y colaboraciones con artistas y producción artística propia. This doctoral thesis presents an investigation of those artistic interventions based on optical illusions that are manifested in urban environments, as well as their interaction with the space and the spectator. To this end, an analysis is carried out from the point of view of the contextualisation of these plastic languages, to the strategies that the artists carry out to activate a dynamic and illusory relationship between the work, the space that occupies and the public.The research is based on the hypothesis that the inclusion of optical illusions in artistic interventions in the urban environment is a spatial modifying factor that generates new relationships between the city and the inhabitant, providing different readings of the context in which they are found.In order to demonstrate this statement, a methodology based mainly on the compilation and bibliographical review of different sources has been carried out, complemented with fieldwork that includes case studies, meetings and collaborations with artists and artistic production. These practical aspects are of particular relevance for a research within the framework of a PhD programme in Fine Arts...
