La convergencia es el resultado de un proceso evolutivo que surge como respuesta a la creciente necesidad de compatibilizar normas, procedimientos e instituciones entre distintos Estados en un contexto globalizado. La convergencia busca una alineación progresiva, no necesariamente uniforme, que permite reducir diferencias regulatorias, facilitar el comercio, mejorar la cooperación técnica y, especialmente, garantizar la seguridad y eficacia en sectores estratégicos como el farmacéutico. En este sector, la convergencia cobra una especial relevancia, donde la garantía de calidad, seguridad, eficacia y acceso equitativo a medicamentos exige no solo una gobernanza nacional eficiente, sino también marcos de colaboración internacional sólidos, predecibles y funcionales...
Convergence is the result of an evolutionary process that arises in response to the growing need to harmonize norms, procedures, and institutions among different States in a globalized context. Convergence seeks a progressive—though not necessarily uniform—alignment that enables the reduction of regulatory disparities, facilitates trade, enhances technical cooperation, and, most importantly, ensures safety and efficacy in strategicsectors such as the pharmaceutical industry.
