Abstract
The careless nature with which the Public Administration of Spain currently approaches Cultural Heritage, especially on the regional level, leads to poorly controlled procedures by superior bodies of government, mainly in terms of hiring, which many times could be made by companies already assigned. his situation afects the procedures meant to safeguard Cultural Heritage, such as those for restoring works of art. In addition, when it comes to other actions concerning Cultural Heritage (e.g. valuations that verify the economic value of a piece of Heritage), there does not even exist any oicial way to regulate such a value. Such lack of regulation is detrimental to good praxis.
