Abstract
In recent years, rapidly evolving technological tools such as 360-degree video, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) have made their way into the field of journalism to enhance the dissemination of information on multiple subjects. These different techniques involve, respectively, the presentation of a real-world scenario from all perspectives, digital simulation of the depicted space, integration of virtual elements into the physical space, and the combination of the former with interactive elements. These novel resources consistently serve as invaluable tools in order to assist journalists in the presentation and transmission of information, deploying diverse digital formats that bolster multimodal communication. Furthermore, they allow viewers to experience a subjective involvement and to participate within the news environment, displacing them from mere observers to active participants in the communication process and its reception. The technological tools under consideration here constitute the subject of investigation within the scope of this thesis...
