Abstract
La Guerra Civil y el consiguiente exilio republicano han llenado cientos de páginas de la literatura española a lo largo del siglo XX, hasta el punto de llegar a constituirse como dos de los temas más relevantes de una época marcada por la posguerra y la dictadura. La magnitud de estos dos hechos ha sido abordada de forma interdisciplinar a través de los estudios e investigaciones que distintas áreas, como la psiquiatría, la sociología o la historia, además de la literatura, han llevado a cabo con rigor. Es en la literatura donde hechos históricos como aquellos se transmiten, en gran medida, con carácter testimonial. Así, los escritores que vivieron esos tiempos oscuros, seguidos de muchos otros de posteriores generaciones, involucran al lector en la historia del país y le permiten formar parte de un sentimiento común derivado del dolor de la guerra, el trauma del destierro y, por último, la dificultad del regreso...
The Civil War and the consequent Republican exile have filled hundreds of pages from Spanish literature throughout the 20th century; and so, they became two of the most relevant themes of an era marked by the post-war period and the dictatorship. The magnitude of these two events has been addressed in an interdisciplinary way through rigorous studies and research from different areas, such as psychiatry, sociology, or history, as well as literature.To a considerable extent, literature has been able to transmit such historical events in a testimonial way. Thus, writers who witnessed those dark times, followed by many others from later generations, involve readers in the history of the country; and that allows them to become part of a common feeling derived from the pain of war, the trauma of exile, and, finally, the difficulty of return...
