Abstract
El presente trabajo analiza el modo en que han conceptualizado el fenómeno denominado ‘imaginarios sociales’ tres de los autores más citados y reconocidos entre los muchos que han abordado su estudio: Jean Baudrillard, Cornelius Castoriadis y Charles Taylor. En diferentes libros de su producción se han ocupado del modo en el que los imaginarios se construyen, sus funciones o sus repercusiones en la cultura y la sociedad. Para profundizar en el conocimiento de sus desarrollos teóricos, se busca información a propósito de una serie de ítems, concebidos aquí como indicadores que proporcionan información pertinente para cubrir tres objetivos: A) su describen naturaleza, su construcción y su necesidad; B) su relación con la cultura, la producción de sentido y la identidad; C) su relación con los cambios sociales. La información extraída de los textos a propósito de estas cuestiones se resume y se sintetiza en tablas que permiten la comparación entre los tres autores (y, eventualmente, otros). Se concluye resumiendo las semejanzas y diferencias entre ellos.
This paper analyzes the way in which the phenomenon called 'social imaginaries' has been conceptualized by three of the most cited and recognized authors among the many who have approached its study: Jean Baudrillard, Cornelius Castoriadis and Charles Taylor. In different books of their production they have dealt with the way in which imaginaries are built, their functions or their repercussions on culture and society. In order to deepen the knowledge of its theoretical developments, information is sought regarding a series of items, conceived here as indicators that provide relevant information to cover three objectives: A) their describe nature, their construction and their necessity; B) its relationship with culture, the production of meaning and identity; C) its relationship with social changes. The information extracted from the texts regarding these issues is summarized and synthesized in tables that allow comparison between the three authors (and, eventually, others). It concludes by summarizing the similarities and differences between them.
