dc.description.abstract | The technological progress is one of the variables that shows a more positive influence on the economic growth of nations. More precisely, the process of international diffusion or technological catch-up is of special relevance. The goal of this paper is to observe the role that this catch-up process plays in the most representative growth models, this is, the Solow-Swan and the endogenous growth models. We will focus our atention in the analysis of the convergence hypothesis that is derived from those, once a gradual diffusion process of technology has been introduced in them.
