Abstract
The present Final Degree Project (TFG) aims to make Spanish sign language and its possibilities known as a way to help the minority signing community that often has personal, work, and social difficulties due to their hearing or communication problems. To achieve that, the current social and educational position of this language is analysed, showing the advantages of its use in the motor, cognitive and linguistic development of the children who acquire it. After this analysis, and through the use of an intergenerational workshop whose purpose is the Spanish sign language inclusion in a normative classroom with a majority of hearing students, sign language is incorporated naturally and gradually in the class of the third year of early childhood education. As a result, the language is acquired from a practical perspective that allows them to communicate, at a basic level, with deaf people, people with hearing disabilities or communication problems.
