Abstract
Obesity and overweight, as well as malnutrition, have become some of the most serious health problems that currently exist on our planet. Its consequences are manifold and, in most cases, fatal. Even so, this problem has grown so fast that the population is not yet aware of its seriousness. In recent years, the ultra-processed products industry has been gaining ground in our diets, to the point of controlling supermarkets and even some health and sports institutions. This seriously interferes in the nutritional education of the population, as well as in the search for and implementation of solutions to help solve the problem. In this scenario, child users are the most disadvantaged, since practically all marketing and advertising of food products aimed at them is of ultra-processed products. As a consequence, they start consuming unhealthy products at a younger age and develop malnutrition-related diseases at a very young age. All this must be added to the worrying climate crisis that the planet is suffering, which is also closely related to the consumption habits of the population. In this Master's Thesis, detailed research on the problem of malnutrition in Spain is carried out in order to subsequently design a project that serves as a contribution, based on the findings of the research. The result is a proposal that encourages the population to acquire and maintain healthy and sustainable habits.
