Abstract
La arqueología del paisaje ha sido introducida en la última década de manera mássistemática en los estudios egiptológicos relacionados con las necrópolis y lasconcepciones funerarias. Sin embargo, esta aplicación ha sido realizada desdeaproximaciones teóricas y metodológicas superadas ya en otros campos y periodoshistóricos del mundo antiguo. Y, a menudo, la aplicación de esta perspectiva ha sidoutilizada dentro de estudios muy concretos, individuales y sin perspectivas globales sobresu influencia e importancia en aspectos esenciales de la cultura egipcia.Por otro lado, se ha producido recientemente una completa revolución tecnológicay teórica en los estudios cognitivos y en la manera de estudiar y entender elfuncionamiento del cerebro en interacción con la cultura. La neurociencia ha supuesto uncambio de paradigma en la forma de entender los procesos cognitivos que se dan en laformación y desarrollo de la cultura y ha desterrado la idea de una cognición llevada acabo sólo en el interior del cerebro humano. Landscape archaeology has been introduced more systematically in the last decadein Egyptological studies related to necropolises and funerary conceptions. However, thisapplication has been carried out from theoretical and methodological approaches alreadysurpassed in other fields and historical periods of the ancient world. The implementationof this perspective has often been used within specific and individual studies and withoutholistic prospects on its influence and importance in essential aspects of Egyptian culture.On the other hand, there has recently been a complete technological andtheoretical revolution in cognitive studies and in the way of studying and understandingthe functioning of the brain in interaction with culture. Neuroscience has meant aparadigm shift in the way of understanding the cognitive processes that occur in theformation and development of culture and has banished the idea of cognition carried outonly inside the human brain. These advances have made it possible to identify cognitiveprocesses outside the human body, altered and originated by external agents such as thelandscape and culture...
