Abstract
Las fuentes del rito hispánico que se han conservado principalmente en el archivo de la Catedral de Toledo y la Biblioteca Nacional de España en Madrid, representan un corpus peculiar, distinto al de otros manuscritos de este antiguo rito. La existencia de una notación exclusiva, su aspecto más descuidado en cuanto a la escritura, la presencia de una tradición litúrgica distinta y, finalmente, las teorías que indican que su origen podría ser mucho más tardío que el de otras fuentes, hacen de este grupo de fuentes un objeto de estudio de especial interés para reconstruir la historia del canto hispánico, debido a los enigmas que su mera existencia nos plantea.
The sources of the Hispanic rite, mainly preserved within the archives of the Toledo Cathedral and the National Library of Spain in Madrid, constitute a distinctive corpus, different from other manuscripts of this ancient rite. The presence of an exclusive notation, their comparatively decayed appearance in terms of handwriting, the existence of a distinct liturgical tradition, and finally, theories suggesting that its origin could be much later than that of other sources, make this group of manuscripts an object of particular interest for reconstructing the history of Hispanic chant, due to the questions their mere existence make us consider...
