dc.description.abstractCreativity is one of the keys for entrepreneurship as a good idea is the fundamental base of a successful business. Due to the current economic crisis, governments try to incentive new entrepreneurs but it is not easy. It is said that the entrepreneurial attitude is greatly influenced by the cultural heritage and some countries, like Spain, are not ready to entrepreneur. There is also evidence about disastrous failures that discourage start-ups of new business. The objective of this paper is to analyze the level of creativity of a sample of undergraduate students at the Business Administration Degree in the Complutense University of Madrid to be able to know the factors which may condition the creation of new business in the future. A survey following the creativity items from Sternberg 1985 was developed and carried out at the end of the subject’s seminars about starting-up a company. Regression and variance analysis are carried out on the answers. The results show that depending on students, creativity could condition their future ability to start-up a company. Teaching implications will be presented in order to promote effective learning about entrepreneurship for the students’ professional implications in the future. Strengths and weakness are presented as a guideline for new possible subjects at the business schools.
