Abstract
In questo lavoro presentiamo i risultati di una ricerca etnobotanica condotta in una parte della Calabria (Italia meridionale). Scopo del presente lavoro è stato quello di riscoprire gli usi tradizionali delle piante selvatiche e coltivate per la loro conservazione e rivalutazione. 36 persone sono state intervistate in campo per registrare le loro conoscenze etnobotaniche; 50 specie vegetali sono state raccolte e analizzate nei loro usi: i più rappresentati sono stati gli usi medicinali e quelli alimentari. Comparando i risultati ottenuti con quelli
rinvenuti nella letteratura etnobotanica in Italia e in particolare per la Calabria, sono emersi originali utilizzi di piante spontanee e coltivate, nonché curiosi aspetti antropologici.
In this work, we present the results of an ethnobotanical research carried out in the territory of Vibo Valentia (VV), a province of Calabria (southern Italy).
