Abstract
En este artículo se analizan los funcionarios que se encargaron, de una u otra manera, del abastecimiento de agua en el Madrid de Fernando VI (1746-1759). Se estudia su faceta histórico-administrativa y documental, abordando el acceso a la profesión a través de los expedientes que se han conservado en el Archivo de Villa de Madrid. Al respecto, se han identificado los procesos que, de una u otra manera, conducían a su nombramiento y la documentación que ha resultado de estos; cuyas tipologías han sido analizadas con un criterio diplomático, en atención a su estructura interna y tradición documental. Con dicho fin, se han seleccionado dos ejemplos, encarnados en los fontaneros menores y el alguacil de la Junta de Fuentes.
This article analyses the civil servants who were in charge of water supply in one way or another in the Madrid of Ferdinand VI (1746-1759). The historical-administrative and documentary facets are studied, addressing the access to the profession through the files that have been preserved in the Villa de Madrid Archive. In this respect, we have identified the processes that, in one way or another, led to his appointment and the documentation that has resulted from them; the typologies of which have been analysed using diplomatic criteria, in accordance with their internal structure and documentary tradition. To this end, two examples have been selected, embodied in the minor plumbers and the bailiff of the Fountain Council.
