Evaluación de las hemerotecas de la prensa digital: el caso de los principales diarios iberoamericanos

Abstract

Cuando internet llegó a los medios de comunicación, la prensa se incorporó rápidamente a la red y nació la prensa digital, un nuevo medio que, entre muchas más características, destacó por ofrecer a los usuarios la posibilidad de consultar sus ediciones anteriores mediante la hemeroteca en línea. Las hemerotecas de la prensa digital actualmente son potentes fuentes de información, confiables y accesibles, a igual nivel que las bibliotecas o los archivos. En este sentido, es pertinente conocer el desarrollo de las hemerotecas de la prensa digital en la región iberoamericana, y saber cómo es que el entorno tecnológico actual ha influenciado en su forma de ofrecer información. When Internet came to the media, the press quickly joined the network and digital media was born, a new medium that, among many other features, highlighted by offering users the opportunity to consult previous editions by the archive on line. Newspaper archives of digital media are powerful sources of information currently, reliable and affordable, to the same level as the libraries or archives. In this regard, it is pertinent to know the development of the newspaper archives of digital media in the Iberoamerican region, and how is that the current technological environment has influenced its way to provide information. Under this idea, this research has two purposes: to assess the newspaper archives of Iberoamerican digital press, and know the perception that professionals have information about the digital daily newspaper archives where they work. To consolidate these goals, the body of research includes six chapters. The first chapter, Introduction, explains in detail the subject of the investigation, the specific objectives and hypotheses. It also explains the general methodology used and finally, provides the state of affairs, which first addresses the following: digital journalism that gives context to the history of the digital press and its evolution; and journalistic documentation, which supports the approach of information services.
