El “espejo” en la praxis: los reflejos de las imágenes y reflexiones en la práctica

Abstract

Durante el periodo de prácticas en el hospital de la Paz, el trabajo en el taller arteterapéutico ha hecho que nos veamos reflejados en un espejo en el que se aprecien no sólo los pacientes, sino también me vea yo como arteterapeuta en formación. Mientras que hoy en día cada vez más investigaciones aplican métodos científicos para demostrar una validez y función del arteterapia, se percibe una carencia de trabajos que entiendan el fenómeno como una totalidad, y al investigador/a como “participante” de ese fenómeno. Por ende, este trabajo se orienta al heurístico, que utiliza el proceso y los datos de la práctica combinados con la experiencia personal como observadora y participante, a través de la autoexploración y la comunicación entre pacientes, sus obras y la arteterapeuta en formación. Esta investigación responde concluyendo a preguntas: ¿Qué situaciones o actitudes deberían evitarse durante sus prácticas? ¿Qué evidencias esenciales podrían aparecer en el taller? ¿Y Qué obstáculos podrían afrontar los futuros arteterapeutas?. [ABSTRACT]Whilst working in the art therapy workshops, during the practice period in La Paz Hospital, it seemed that there was a ‘reflection’, like a mirror, created between the experiences of the patients and mine as a training art therapist. As increasingly more research is dedicated to scientific methods to demonstrate the validity and role of art therapy, there is a lack of investigation into the understanding of this phenomenon as a whole – where the researchers themselves are also participants of the experience. This study aims to apply the heuristic process, using the data of practice combined with the art therapist’s personal experience as observer and participant – through self-exploration and communication between the patients and their work and the training art therapist – in order to reveal the thoughts which emerged during the process and later on reflection. The concluding research answers the questions: What situations or attitudes could be avoided during the process of the practice? What essential evidence might be present in the workshops? And what obstacles might future art therapists face?.
