Abstract
En el contexto actual, dónde la tecnología ocupa un lugar importante en todos los ámbitos de la vida, el smartphone se ha consolidado como una herramienta de uso cotidiano también en el entorno educativo. Aunque su presencia en etapas formativas más tempranas genera debates y cierta polémica sobre su conveniencia, en el ámbito universitario el dispositivo forma parte del día a día del alumno. Partiendo de esta realidad, este estudio plantea la necesidad de aprovechar de manera pedagógica el uso del smartphone en las aulas universitarias, orientándolo hacia un empleo productivo y beneficioso para el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Para ello, se ha desarrollado una herramienta innovadora basada en el Marco Europeo DigComEdu, diseñada específicamente para evaluar el uso que el profesorado universitario hace del smartphone en su actividad educativa. In the current context, where technology occupies an important place in all areas of life, the smartphone has established itself as a tool for everyday use in the educational environment as well. Although its presence in earlier formative stages generates debates and some controversy about its convenience, in the university environment the device is part of the student's daily life.Based on this reality, this study proposes the need to take advantage of the use of smartphones in university classrooms in a pedagogical way, orienting it towards a productive and beneficial use for the teaching-learning process.To this end, an innovative tool has been developed based on the DigComEdu European Framework, specifically designed to evaluate the use that university teachers make of smartphones in their educational activity.
