Exóstosis subungueales vs osteocondroma: importancia del diagnóstico diferencial

Abstract

La aparición, cada vez más común en la consulta diaria, de lesiones tanto dérmicas como óseas fácilmente confundibles con exóstosis subungueales, proporciona al podólogo la necesidad de permanecer alerta ante cualquier inicio de anomalía en el hueso. Sin embargo la dificultad que se presenta a la hora de realizar un diagnóstico diferencial y la imposibilidad de tratamiento con otros métodos distintos a la cirugía, hacen de suma importancia la valoración anatomopatológica y el criterio de profesionales especializados que debemos tener en cuenta como parte del equipo multidisciplinar, (anatomopatólogo, radiólogo, oncólogo), que junto con el podólogo trataran esta patología.The appearance, more and more common in the daily office of injuries similar to dematological pathologies as bony, are easily confusing with subungueal exostosis, provides to the podiatrist the necessity to remain alert with any bone anormality. Nevertheless the difficulty is at the time of making a differential diagnosis and the impossibility to treat this pathology with other methods differents from the surgery, makes very important the criterion of any specialized professionals which are involved as part of the multidiscipline team, with the podiatrist, to treat this pathology.
