Contribución al conocimiento de la diversidad forestal en ecosistemas naturales y semi-naturales del piedemonte llanero en Colombia

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación reúne una serie de elementos conceptuales, metodológicos y resultados con los cuales se busca contribuir al conocimiento de los ecosistemas naturales y semi-naturales del piedemonte llanero en Colombia; ello a través de estudios florísticos que permitieron comparar la estructura, composición y diversidad de los ecosistemas boscosos, las relaciones entre la vegetación y al gradiente altitudinal, análisis de la regeneración natural y la contribución de los pastos arbolados a la diversidad forestal para esta zona del país. Se realizó mediante consultas bibliográficas, recorridos de campo, sobrevuelos y el levantamiento de información en campo con el establecimiento de parcelas forestales en los municipios de Acacías, Castilla La Nueva, San Luis de Cubarral, Guamal y San Martín de los Llanos del departamento del Meta, entre noviembre de 2012 y abril de 2015. Para ello se levantaron 187 unidades de muestreo en los ecosistemas estudiados: 83 en bosque natural (bosques de galería = 55 y bosques densos = 28), 83 en vegetación secundaria (alta = 57 y baja = 26), y 21 en pastos arbolados; en cada parcela de bosque natural, se levantaron dos sub-parcelas anidadas de 5 x 5 m para latizales y dos de 2 x 2 m para brinzales, que corresponden a los estados de crecimiento de la regeneración natural...

The present work thesis brings together a series of concepts, methods and results, with which it is sought to contribute to the knowledge regarding the natural and semi-natural ecosystems of the Llanos of Colombia. This has been achieved through the carrying out of flora studies that have allowed the comparison of the structure, composition and diversity of forest ecosystems, the relationships between the vegetation and the altitudinal gradient, the analysis of natural regeneration and the analysis of the effects and contribution that wooded pastures have had on forest diversity for this region of Colombia. The above were achieved through desktop research (bibliographical search), field trips, overflights and the gathering of fieldwork data from experimental forest plots in the municipalities of Acacías, Castilla La Nueva, San Luis de Cubarral, Guamal and San Martín de Los Llanos (department of Meta), between November 2012 and April 2015. In this respect 187 sampling units were surveyed in the ecosystems analyzed: 83 in natural forest (gallery forests = 55; dense forests = 28), 83 in secondary vegetation (high = 57 and low = 26), and 21 in wooded pastures.
