Quine's notion of linguistic relativity, for which it is necessary to take into consideration other doctrines and ideas of this author related with it, such as indeterminacy of translation, inscrutability of reference and ontological relativity. A set of current studies on linguistic relativity has placed special interest in the formation of Quine's ontology and in his conception of linguistic relativity. Therefore, analyzing in detail these aspects of his philosophy (ontology and linguistic relativity) will allow us to establish a good starting point, both to reflect on these new studies, and to further clarify In depth, Quine's position on how language affects thought and for further research on linguistic relativity | |
