Archivo Juan José Mantecón: metodología de valorización de archivos personales de naturaleza musical

Abstract

El objeto de esta tesis es presentar el archivo completo del compositor Juan José Mantecón, tanto en la idiosincrasia que le es única e intransferible, como en virtud de su pertenencia a esa categoría que denominamos archivos personales musicales, sacando a la luz aquella información todavía desconocida de esta figura central de la Generación del 27 y esencial en la vida musical española del siglo XX. Aborda para ello unas líneas de actuación que profundizan en los problemas de normalización de cada uno de los elementos que intervienen en la información propia de un archivo musical personal. Se parte del contexto actual sobre este tipo de archivos, muy valiosos como patrimonio cultural y de gran interés histórico, aunque hasta ahora poco estudiados y muchos de ellos todavía ocultos al conocimiento de investigadores y archiveros. Son archivos, por otra parte, de fondos muy heterogéneos y que a menudo presentan problemas de dispersión y fragmentación de la información. The purpose of this thesis is to present the complete legacy of the composer Juan José Mantecón, both because of its idiosyncrasy, which is unique and not transferable, and by virtue of its membership to that category called music personal archives, by bringing out that information still unknown concerning this central figure of the Generación del 27 and essential in the 20th century musical life. It is therefore being addressed action lines which deepen the normalization problems of each of the elements involved in the inherent music personal archive information. It starts from the current context of this type of archives, very valuable as cultural heritage and of great historic interest, although very little studied until now, and many of them still hidden to researchers, and archivists knowledge. On the other hand, they are archives with very heterogeneous collections and that often have problems of dispersion and fragmentation of information. The current situation derived from the empirical analysis of accessibility concerning other personal archives which have music as conceptual background, has taken us to understand the necessity of proposing a method of application in documentary treatment in order to provide solutions to the hole knowledge of the figure under study and, therefore, to extrapolate such knowledge to the sociocultural framework the figure belong to.
