Abstract
La morbilidad de suelo pélvico, es muy frecuente en la población y todavía mucho más cuando se trata del género femenino, debido en primer lugar a la anatomía y adicionalmente por el proceso degenerativo tisular que se puede desarrollar por la edad, el embarazo y parto y, sobre estos últimos, sobre todo en los instrumentales [1]. DeLancey, define que, 1 de cada 10 mujeres, tendrá a lo largo de su vida una disfunción de suelo pélvico importante, que incluso podría requerir cirugía [2].Es por esto, que nos encontramos con un problema de salud pública muy importante, al que las mujeres pueden tener que enfrentarse en algún momento de su vida. La creciente inserción de la mujer en el mercado laboral, así como, en cada vez más actividades sociales, implican que la morbilidad de suelo pélvico, tenga un impacto todavía mayor en la calidad de vida de las mujeres. Este impacto afecta a las tres esferas (modelo biopsicosocial) promovido por la OMS [3], lo que hace que se deba de tratar desde un punto de vista multidisciplinar e incremente su relevancia para los profesionales sanitarios...
Pelvic floor morbidity is very frequent in the population and even more so in the female population, due firstly to the anatomy and additionally due to the tissue degenerative process that can develop due to age, pregnancy and childbirth, especially in instrumental births [1]. DeLancey defines that 1 in 10 women will have a significant pelvic floor dysfunction during their lifetime, which may even require surgery [2]. This is why we are faced with a very important public health problem that women may have to face at some point in their lives. The increasing insertion of women in the labour market, as well as in more and more social activities, means that pelvic floor morbidity has an even greater impact on women's quality of life. This impact affects all three spheres (biopsychosocial model) promoted by the WHO[3], which means that it must be treated from a multidisciplinary point of view and increases its relevance for healthcare professionals...
