Abstract
It is through art, in the symbolic and iconic representation of the blood, as we have received much of the vital mythological legacy of our ancestors; and through the rites of blood has come to us the desire to make the spirit and the unknown take root in the ground, in an immanent desire for transcendence. This study has been directed to relate the different views and perspectives in the artistic field, from a hologramatic, ontological and tautological prism in the dialogue that, in our view, involves itself the study of art as hermeneutics of being, serving in part to the conceptual and defining prism associated with the integrated global spiral System. So, we come to define the object of research: the use, real or symbolic, of blood in contemporary art, and the multiplicity of meanings and suggestions arising from such use. Set the object (blood in the art), our research aims to highlight the transmitting nature of blood, transmitter of meanings and cultural information. To realize this purpose we have set the achievement of a series of specific objectives, objectives confined to: the research of the process by which blood has become a container and transmitter of social, political and spiritual content; the shaping and demonstration of an indivisible relationship, the one between the being, the work, and the blood as a transmitter; the location and extraction to the surface, by analyzing specific works of reference authors, of the common creative impulse that needs of the blood as an artistic theme and defining vehicle of “I”...
