Abstract
Los micromamíferos del Vallesiense de los Valles de Fuentidueña han proporcionado tres insectívoros, ocho roedores y un lagomorfo. El estudio sistemático de insectívoros y lagomorfos se realiza por primera vez, destacándose la presencia de Galerix socialis y de un Prolagus cf. crusafonti muy evolucionado. La lista fáunica de roedores ha sido aumentada hasta un total de ocho especies, entre las cuales cabe destacar una nueva ardilla, cf. Spermophilinus de gran talla, Atlantoxerus adroveri de registro muy anterior al conocido, Heteroxerus cf. hürzeleri, similar al de Pedregueras 1 A, muy abundante, e Hispanomys sp, (Cricetidae) con características peculiares. Se amplía el material de los castóridos, Chalicomys jaegeri, muy abundante, y Euroxenomys sp. Confirmamos la edad Vallesiense inferior de esta asociación y se analizan la distribución de especies por niveles y por biotopos. La asociación presenta las mayores afinidades con otras faunas de las cuencas del Duero y Calatayud-Teruel.
The small mammals from the Vallesian of Los Valles de Fuentidueña are: three insectivores, eight rodents and one lagomorph, The systematic study of the insectivores and the lagomorphs is done for the first time: the presence of Galerix socialis and a very evolved specimen of Prolagus cf. crusafonti is remarkable, The faunal list of the rodents has been increased to a total of eight species: among these there is a new squirrel of large size, cf. Spermophilinus; Atlantoxerus adroveri is reported and hence appears to be the earliest documentation of this species up to now; Heteroxerus cf. hürzeleri is relatively abundant and is similar to the same species from Pedregueras 1 A, and Hispanomys sp, (Cricetidae) has peculiar characteristics. Of the beavers, Chalicomys jaegeri and Euroxenomys sp. are present, the former one being very abundant. We confirm the early Vallesian age of this association and the distribution of the species by levels and biotopes has been analysed. The fauna has large affinities with other faunas from the same Duero-basin and that of the Calatayud-Teruel basin.
