Abstract
This paper studies tbe progressive regional metamorphism in the aVellon - Pedrezuela.) area. By determination of ihe mineral paragenesis present in these materials that outcrop in the sector (metapeiites. metasamites. anphibolites and calcosilicates rocks) and also by the indetermineral and blastesis-age relations, a progessive medium grade regional metamorphism has been defined. This metamorphism is caracterized by 5.25 Kbar, 550 ºC conditions in the interpbase and 4 +- 0.5 Kbar, 600 ºC in the second Hercynian phase. The metamorphic gradient changed from 26 ºC/Km to 380 +- 5 ºC/Km.
