Abstract
To this end, the study commences by analysing hegemonic conceptions of gender and their relationship with sexuality, whilst considering the social changes that have transpired since the latter decades of the 20th century. These include the legitimation of sexuality outside the confines of the couple in a recreational and ludic manner; the processes of individualisation that have extended to women; the increasing acceptance and normalisation of LGBTQ+ realities; and the growing autonomy of individuals in making decisions about their sexual and affective lives...
