Abstract

ABSTRACT: The story of Sibilla Aleramo is that of a woman who, in early twentieth-century Italy, was able to rebel against the rules imposed by a patriarchal and hostile society towards women, finding her place both in the world and in literature. Her feminism lies in the path of internal research that leads to the birth of the new woman who has been able to conquer an identity of thought, a different way of feeling «al femminile» and a new language of woman that becomes the most direct and sincere expression of the evolution of a soul.

SINTESI: La storia di Sibilla Aleramo è quella di una donna che, nell’Italia del primo Novecento, seppe ribellarsi alle regole imposte da una società patriarcale e ostile verso le donne e trovare il suo posto sia nel mondo che nella letteratura. Il suo femminismo risiede nel percorso di ricerca interiore che porta alla nascita della nuova donna che ha saputo conquistare un’identità di pensiero, un diverso modo di sentire «al femminile» e un nuovo linguaggio di donna che diventa la più diretta e sincera espressione dell’evoluzione di un’anima.
