Abstract
El estudio que se presenta tiene como objetivos generales la identificación, el análisis, catalogación y difusión, de las encuadernaciones dentro de las Bibliotecas de la Real Academia Nacional de Medicina y de la Real Academia Nacional de Farmacia, además de unos objetivos específicos tales como la identificación de los exlibris y antiguos poseedores existentes en los ejemplares catalogados, la identificación y descripción de los escudos heráldicos que puedan constituir una marca de propiedad, la identificación y catalogación de los diversos papeles decorativos que formen parte de la encuadernación seleccionada o el estudio de filigranas que se encuentren dentro de las guardas o de las hojas volantes de cada libro.La investigación se compone de siete partes, la definición del objeto de estudio y la metodología empleada durante la investigación, la creación de las dos Reales Academias y el análisis de las colecciones que albergan, el catálogo de encuadernaciones artísticas, el análisis de las encuadernaciones estudiadas, el estudio de conservación de ambas Academias y el estado de las colecciones, las estadísticas generadas a partir de los datos extraídos y por último las conclusiones de la investigación...
The general objectives of this study are the identification, analysis, cataloguing and dissemination of the bindings in the Libraries of the Royal National Academy of Medicine and the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy, as well as specific objectives such as the identification of the exlibris and former owners of the catalogued copies, the identification and description of heraldic coats of arms that may constitute a mark of ownership, the identification and cataloguing of the various decorative papers that form part of the selected binding or the study of watermarks found inside the flyleaves or flyleaves of each book.The research is composed of seven parts, the definition of the object of study and the methodology used during the research, the creation of the two Royal Academies and the analysis of the collections they house, the catalog of artistic bindings, the analysis of the bindings studied, the conservation study of both Academies and the state of the collections, the statistics generated from the data extracted and finally the conclusions of the research...
