Fuentes para el estudio de la tipografía, la imprenta y el libro antiguo mexicano (1539-1821)

Abstract

Para quien decide aproximarse a alguna de las facetas del libro antiguo, la tipografía y la imprenta en México resulta por demás desalentador darse cuenta de que a la fecha no se cuenta con un compendio de fuentes básicas para su estudio. Por esa razón en el presente texto se ofrece una reunión de casi 350 entradas, constituyendo así un primer acercamiento a la bibliografía sobre esta materia. Después de presentar un breve estado de la cuestión sobre la producción latinoamericana sobre estos temas, en el texto se realiza también una primera lectura y comentario de las fuentes reunidas, lo que permite vislumbrar con claridad los temas que han sido priorizados por los investigadores y los que han sido desatendidos o directamente relegados. [ABSTRACT]For those who decide to approach some of the facets of antique books, typography and printing in Mexico, it is starkly disappointing to realize that up to date there is not a compendium of basic sources for study. For that reason, this text offers a gathering of nearly 350 entries, constituting a first approach to this matter. After presenting the state of the art of the question in the Latin American production of this topics, the essay makes a first reading and review of the sources together, allowing a clear glimpse of the issues that have been prioritized by researchers and those who have been neglected or relegated.
