El encuentro entre el monstruo y el mito: el gótico andino y la construcción de la realidad en Las Voladoras de Mónica Ojeda

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende abordar la construcción del gótico andino como sustento para el relato de la realidad en los cuentos de Las voladoras (2020) de Mónica Ojeda, desde las teorías acerca del mito. Para ello se toman como punto de partida los conceptos de heterogeneidad y transculturación que articulan las definiciones sobre la identidad y la cultura en Latinoamérica. En esta línea, la revisión de las funciones de los mitos permite vincular a las figuras que los representan con las teorías acerca del monstruo como elemento perturbador de los modelos y estrategias del poder.This article aims to approach the construction of the Andean Gothic as a support for the narration of the reality in Las voladoras (2020) by Mónica Ojeda, through the theories about myth. For this purpose, are taken as a starting point the concepts of heterogeneity and transculturation that articulate the definitions of identity and culture in Latin America. In this line, the review of the functions of myths allows linking the figures that represent them with the theories about the monster as a disturbing element of the models and strategies of power.
