El equilibrio entre la vida personal y profesional es un reto constante. En profesionales de cuidados paliativos este equilibrio puede ser especialmente difícil debido a las demandas propias de este trabajo. Nuestra investigación ha tratado de profundizar en el conocimiento de los recursos personales que pueden estar asociados para lograrlo. Nuestro estudio investigó el grado de interrelación entre el significado del trabajo y el nivel de estrés percibido, así como otros recursos personales como la autoestima, el optimismo, la satisfacción con la vida, la vitalidad subjetiva, el crecimiento personal y otras variables sociodemográficas en profesionales de cuidados paliativos del territorio español...
The balance between personal and professional life is a constant challenge. In palliative care this balance can be especially difficult due to the specific demands ofnature of this medical speciality. Our research has sought to deepen the knowledge of personal resources to achieve that balance. Our research explored the factors which are associated with perceived work-related stress of health care professionals in palliative care. The study investigated the association between the meaning of work and the level of perceived stress in a multidisciplinary group of palliative care unit professionals. The effect of established protective factors from work-related stress such as self-esteem, optimism, life satisfaction, vitality subjective, personal growth and demographic variables was also examined.
