Caracterización sísmica del Anticlinorio del Bajo Segura (Alicante): Fallas del Bajo Segura, Torrevieja y San Miguel de Salinas

Abstract

This paper presents a seismic characterization of the most important faults of the Lower Segura Anticlinorium. Available evidence of quaternary faulting, as well as the characteristics of the seismic record in the area, are analyzed in order to perform an estimation of the maximum magnitude earthquake and mean recurrence period for each of the faults. These results can be used in probabilistic seismic hazard calculations.
