Comercio exterior y flujos de inversión extranjera directa de Colombia en tiempos de incertidumbre. 2015-2021

Abstract

El objetivo de este documento es describir y analizar el comportamiento del comercio exterior y los flujos de inversión extranjera directa (entrada y salida) de Colombia durante el período 2015-2021. Se busca identificar sus fortalezas y debilidades para que sirvan de base a la toma de decisiones de los agentes implicados. Se parte de la información proporcionada por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística y el Banco de la República de Colombia. Los resultados indican la persistencia y ampliación de ciertas características estructurales en el intercambio de bienes y la necesidad de afrontar grandes retos para la atracción de la inversiónThe objective of this paper is to describe and analyze the behavior of Colombia’s foreign trade and foreign direct investment flows (inward and outward) during the period 2015-2021. It seeks to identify their strengths and weaknesses, with the aim of serving as a basis for decision-making by the agents involved. The information presented is based on data provided by the National Administrative Department of Statistics and the Bank of the Republic of Colombia. The results indicate the persistence and expansion of certain structural characteristics in the exchange of goods and the necessity to confront significant challenges in order to attract investment
