Gestación subrogada: un nuevo reto para el sistema educativo español

Abstract

La gestación subrogada es una técnica de reproducción humana asistida heteróloga cada vez más extendida. Desde hace años proliferan charlas desde los centros educativos que se focalizan en aspectos despectivos hacia esta técnica, las familias que han optado a ella, los propios menores, así como las gestantes. Estas charlas, son consideradas, por distintos colectivos sociales, como un mecanismo para promover mensajes de odio hacia menores y familias utilizando la escuela como plataforma. Este estudio se desarrolla desde una vertiente cualitativa por la necesidad de conocer, por parte de distintos actores vinculados al sistema educativo, cuáles son sus percepciones y valoraciones, así como sus discursos en torno a la gestación subrogada. Se pretende conocer la repercusión de los actuales discursos políticos y mediáticos en los procesos educativos. Para ello se han realizado tres grupos de discusión y una entrevista en profundidad. Entre sus principales conclusiones se destaca la importancia de defender el interés de los menores y de sus derechos, así como la necesidad de desvincular los centros educativos de mensajes políticos y mediáticos, para favorecer un desarrollo integral de los menores en condiciones de igualdad, equidad, respeto, inclusión y diversidad.

Surrogacy is an increasingly widespread heterologous assisted human reproduction technique. For years, there has been a proliferation of talks in educational centers that focus on derogatory aspects towards this technique, the families that have opted for it, the minors themselves, as well as the gestational surrogates. These talks are considered, by different social groups, as a mechanism to promote messages of hatred towards minors and families using the school as a platform. This study is developed from a qualitative perspective due to the need to know, from different actors linked to the educational system, what are their perceptions and assessments, as well as their discourses on surrogacy. The aim is to know the repercussion of current political and media discourses on educational processes. For this purpose, three discussion groups and an in-depth interview were carried out. Among its main conclusions, the importance of defending the interest of minors and their rights is highlighted, as well as the need to disassociate educational centers from political and media messages, in order to favor an integral development of minors in conditions of equality, equity, respect, inclusion and diversity.
