Abstract
Promoting physical activities is a great part of everyone’s personal development. Unfortunately, the situation produced by Covid-19, we are going through, makes it difficult for everyone to access resources to exercise properly, be it at home or at the gym. One of the collectives more affected by this are those visually impaired. Here we present a project that has as a result a website and an IOS and Android app, accessible and inclusive, to those with visual disabilities. The app is designed to be completely accessible through the use of TalkBack on Android devices and VoiceOver in IOS. Provides users with a way to exercise along with other features such as a history of activities or a recommender system. This app has been developed through the machines of the integrants of the group in Android and with the help of a Mac server belonging to the ONCE-Tiflo Technology property of the Faculty of Informatics for developments in IOS. The website is accessible without any need of external software, following the defined accessibility guidelines, and has been developed with help of the server provided by the ONCE-Tiflotechnology of the Faculty of Informatics. To make sure Android and IOS applications are accessible, there has been a process of research about accessibility systems. In order to verify accessibility and inclusion, there have been reviews by ONCE experts.
