Abstract
This paper seeks to identify trends in Spanish digital journalism that may incur discriminatory attitudes or prolongation of gender stereotypes according to professional ethics. To this end, and firstly, a content analysis is carried out, comparing information from four Spanish digital newspapers on women of media relevance and belonging to different social spheres, with information on their male counterparts. Below are the results of a survey aimed at digital editors on issues such as their perception of the code of ethics, how they apply it (if they apply it), the effects of an incomplete or no adaptation of self- regulation texts to the digital age or their position as information professionals in the face of an increasingly demanded gender perspective.
