Espacios de infancia en la crisis de la modernidad : memoria y ficción

Abstract

El objeto de estudio de esta tesis es la representación literaria de la infancia desde la perspectiva de la edad adulta, enfocando de manera preferente su proyección en el espacio, como principal elemento articulador de las relaciones entre memoria y ficción. Partimos de un concepto de espacio en el que confluyen dimensiones físicas, sociales y simbólicas, que ofrece soporte material al anclaje de la memoria y es objeto, a su vez, de transformación ficcional. Desde esta concepción relacional, se ha planteado una investigación que tiene como objetivos la identificación y descripción de los espacios de representación de la infancia, el análisis de la experiencia subjetiva del niño en dichos espacios y la observación de algunas de sus variaciones en diferentes momentos críticos de transformación social y cultural en la historia reciente. El corpus literario de referencia se compone de un total de ocho obras publicadas en diferentes países del ámbito europeo entre las décadas centrales el siglo XX y el comienzo del siglo actual, seleccionadas en función de su focalización en el tratamiento del espacio definidos y la incorporación de la experiencia infantil en momentos de crisis o cambio social. La inclusión de autores de diferentes generaciones, géneros y países, entre los que se encuentran Mª Luz Melcón, Rubén Gallego y Sara Mesa, Gunter Grass y Mircea Cartarescu, Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio, Raymond Queneau y Florina Ilis, ofrece una aproximación a la experiencia infantil desde perspectivas diversas...This thesis approaches the literary representation of childhood from the adult perspective and with a preferential focus in its spatial projections, considering space as the main regulating node in the relation between memory and fiction.Space is therefore regarded as a relational instance, in which physical, social and symbolic dimensions converge. While offering material basis for the anchoring of memory, it also becomes, in turn, the object of fictional transformation. From this conceptual base, the research pursues as main objectives the identification and description of the representational spaces of childhood, the analysis of the child’s subjective experience in those spaces, and the observation of some variations of the child’s spatial experience during different critical moments of social and cultural transformation in recent history.The literary corpus of reference is composed by eight works published in different European countries between the central decades of the 20th century and the beginning of the current century. They were selected according to their treatment of the space, and their integration of the child’s experience during/of moments of crisis or social change. The wide range of origins, generations, and gender among the included authors -such as Mª Luz Melcón, Rubén Gallego and Sara Mesa; Gunter Grass and Mircea Cartarescu; Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio, Raymond Queneau, and Florina Ilis- allows the study of the child´s experience to be informed by a diversity of perspectives...
