Abstract
In this paper we sutdy the Lower Cretaceous sediments in South Valencia province (Dos Aguas-Jaraco area). Five main sedimentary cycles have been distinguished. The first cycle (Valanginian/Hauterivian) has only been pointed out previously somewhere in northwestern Valencia province, in the Southwestern Iberian Ranges. In our area that cycle only occurs in the most southeastern zone. Moreover we have determined, in the third cycle (Upper Barremian-Lower Bedoulian) the first Urgonian type carbonated platform of SW Iberian Ranges.
