Abstract

Los test cognitivos breves (TCB) pueden ayudar a detectar el deterioro cognitivo (DC) en el ámbito de la atención primaria (AP). Se han desarrollado y validado varios TCB en nuestro país, pero no existe un consenso acerca de cuál debe ser la metodología o el test de elección. El uso de otras herramientas, como los cuestionarios del informador, podría ofrecer valor añadido a los TCB. El Fototest y el Ascertain Dementia 8 (AD8) son, respectivamente, un TCB y un cuestionario para el informador cuya brevedad y sencillez los convierte en excelentes candidatos para la detección del DC en la AP.
