Abstract
If we make a division of the different types that it presents based on its format, one of the most journalistic typologies that we find is the non-fiction narrative podcast. Focusing its principles on literary narrativity and on the pure exercise of journalism, it has some common variables that define it: the presence of the narrator in the text, a significant duration, the use of narrative resources such as voice interviews, musical backgrounds or sound effects and a supreme interest in presenting a work based on reflection. In this research, we will analyze the characteristics of the Spanish titles that contain the premises presented above, published between 2004 and 2020. These dates mark the arrival of podcasting in our country and the year in which an exponential growth trend in the sector ends. Analyzing in an exhaustive way the characteristics of this type of podcast, we can define it as a documentary format, divided into episodes, made by journalists, which has a prior investigation process, which is based on a literary narrative and the use of interviews with the protagonists and that the musical backgrounds, the archival documents and the sound effects have great importance for the development of the story.
