La conservación del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial: análisis antropológico y de género de la festividad de la Virgen de la Paloma.

Abstract

Desde la publicación del Plan Nacional de Salvaguarda del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial en 2015 se ha intensificado la investigación y conservación de este tipo de patrimonio, el cual, plantea nuevos retos para los y las profesionales de la conservación. Este tipo de patrimonio está vivo, se adapta y muta, y por ello, necesita un cambio de perspectiva con respecto al patrimonio material. En el presente Trabajo Fin de Máster se analiza la festividad de la Virgen de la Paloma con el fin de documentar y conservar el Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Comunidad de Madrid, poniendo el foco en la tradición y el folclore inserto en los espacios urbanos. El estudio de esta festividad se aborda desde una perspectiva antropológica y respondiendo a la necesidad de incluir nuevas lecturas del patrimonio que permitan recuperar aquello que está invisibilizado. A partir de la investigación, reflexión y documentación, se lleva a cabo un análisis del valor de la festividad de la Virgen de la Paloma, y se estiman su vulnerabilidad y sus riesgos. Finalmente, se proponen una serie de medidas de conservación con el fin de asegurar la continuidad y adaptación de la festividad a lo largo del tiempo. En este estudio se ha tenido en cuenta tanto la legislación madrileña y nacional, como la dimensión teórica derivada de los seminarios y convenciones que han abordado el Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial desde el año 2015. Como complemento se ha realizado un trabajo de campo a través de entrevistas a participantes de la festividad y visitas a los espacios interventores en la misma. El trabajo se cierra con una serie de conclusiones y líneas de actuación futura sobre la conservación de la festividad de la Virgen de la Paloma y el Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial madrileño. Since the publication of the National Plan for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2015, research and conservation of this type of heritage has intensified, which poses new challenges for conservation professionals. This type of heritage is alive, adapts and mutates, and therefore needs a change of perspective with respect to tangible heritage. This Master’s thesis analyzes the festivity of the Virgen de la Paloma in order to document and conserve the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Community of Madrid, focusing on the tradition and folklore embedded in urban spaces. The study of this festivity is approached from an anthropological perspective and in response to the need to include new readings of heritage that allow the recovery of what is invisible. Based on research, reflection and documentation, an analysis of the value of the festivity of the Virgen de la Paloma is carried out, and its vulnerability and risks are estimated. Finally, a series of conservation measures are proposed in order to ensure the continuity and adaptation of the festivity over time. This study has taken into account both Madrid and national legislation, as well as the theoretical dimension derived from seminars and conventions that have addressed Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2015. As a complement, fieldwork has been carried out through interviews with participants of the festivity and visits to the intervening spaces in it. The work closes with a series of conclusions and lines of future action on the conservation of the festivity of the Virgen de la Paloma and the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Madrid.
