Abstract

Antecedentes, metodología y fundamentos de la báscula coreana en el circo del siglo XXI se enfoca en un análisis histórico y técnico de la báscula coreana, un aparato acrobático con profundas raíces folclóricas en Corea, dentro del contexto circense contemporáneo. A través de un recorrido exhaustivo por la historia de la acrobacia y el circo, se examina el juego popular neolttwigi, precursor de la báscula coreana, explorando su evolución y adaptación al circo. Además, se analizan las dimensiones técnicas y metodológicas, con especial atención en la sistematización del equipamiento y la enseñanza, evaluando sus repercusiones tanto culturales como artísticas. La hipótesis central de la tesis plantea tres aspectos clave: la viabilidad de la unificación del equipamiento técnico y las medidas de seguridad; la posibilidad de estandarizar la metodología de enseñanza; y los posibles avances culturales y artísticos derivados de dicha sistematización. Para ello, se han recopilado los antecedentes históricos de la báscula coreana, vinculando su evolución con el circo. Además, se han examinado las características técnicas del aparato y su relación con las prácticas artísticas actuales, así como las repercusiones culturales de su uso. También se han comparado los diversos métodos de enseñanza empleados para identificar una posible estandarización global. Por último, se ha explorado cómo la báscula coreana ha influido en nuevas propuestas artísticas circenses, sugiriendo posibles direcciones para su desarrollo en el siglo XXI...Background, methodology, and fundamentals of korean teeterboard in 21st century circus focuses on a historical and technical analysis of the Korean teeterboard, an acrobatic apparatus with deep folkloric roots in Korea, within the contemporary circus context. A comprehensive survey of the history of acrobatics and circus examines the folk game neolttwigi, the precursor of the Korean teeterboard, exploring its evolution and adaptation to the circus. In addition, the technical and methodological dimensions are also analyzed, particularly the systematization of equipment and teaching, evaluating its cultural and artistic repercussions.The central hypothesis of the thesis raises three key aspects: the feasibility of the unification of technical equipment and safety measures, the possibility of standardizing the teaching methodology, and the possible cultural and artistic advances derived from such systematization. To this end, the historical background of the Korean teeterboard has been compiled, linking its evolution with the circus. In addition, the technical characteristics of the apparatus and its relation to current artistic practices have been examined, as well as the cultural repercussions of its use. The various teaching methods have also been compared to identify a possible global standardization.
