Abstract
In the thesis "Differential diagnosis of motor speech disorders of neurological origin by means of acoustic analysis", a study of the productions of 20 adult persons with dysarthria and 8 adult persons with apraxia of speech (AoS) has been carried out in order to find different acoustic measures to distinguish the disorders from each other and eachof them from the healthy speech of 28 adult persons without pathology. Both disorders, dysarthria and AoS, are the consequence of lesions in distinct neurological structures that affect the motor control system of speech differently. Although both disorders have a higher error rate in consonant sounds, it is to be expected that there are differences in their production in line with their theoretical differential limitation in the feedback and feedforward motor control systems...
