Abstract
La síntesis de nuevos excipientes para la elaboración de formas farmacéuticas deliberación modificada de fármacos ha ganado importancia en los últimos años. Además de un buen control en la liberación del principio activo, en el caso de la administración por vía oral, estos excipientes deben presentar propiedades adecuadas de compresibilidad, resistencia mecánica y sensibilidad a factores como el pH o la temperatura que amplíen las posibilidades de control de la liberación de los activos. Los hidrogeles derivados de ácido acrílico son un buen ejemplo de excipiente que cumple con los requisitos antes mencionados, y, además, presentan una buena biocompatibilidad y propiedades mucoadhesivos. In the recent years, the synthesis of new excipients for the development of modified drug release pharmaceutical forms has gained importance. Excipients used for oral administration must have adequate properties of compressibility, mechanical resistance and sensitivity to factors such as pH or temperature. Moreover, good control in the release of the active substance are factors that offer the possibilities of the use of theses excipients for modified drug release systems. Acrylic based hydrogels, or its derivate are a good example of excipient that meets the aforementioned requirements, but also presents good biocompatibility and mucoadhesive properties, so they are widely used for the elaboration of matrix tablets...
