Abstract
RESUMEN: Este estudio pretende describir la configuración fónica que presenta el español hondureño durante la época tardocolonial (1650-1800), con el propósito de comprobar si en estos momentos existe en lo fónico una variedad «hondureña» del español y también cuál es su nivel de semejanza con la que existe hoy. De este modo, se analizará un conjunto de 32 documentos de archivo y, por medio de la valoración de los elementos que rompen las tendencias gráficas de la época, se procederá a describir todos los fenómenos fonéticos y fonológicos que se reflejan en el corpus.
ABSTRACT: This paper aims to describe the phonic configuration of Spanish that is written in Honduras during late colonial period, in order to verify the existence of an Honduran variety of spanish and also the similarities between 18th and 20th centuries phonic situations. For this purpose, a methodology based on interpreting graphic elements which don’t follow writing tradition will be applied to a corpus of 32 archive documents, so we will be able to describe phonetic and phonological phenomena that characterize the spanish used in this country between 1650 and 1800.
