Abstract
El presente trabajo de tesis doctoral trata antes que nada de investigar la relación existente entre el movimiento social indigenista y la literatura latinoamericana. Formulado este objetivo central, se está intentando averiguar cómo han interactuado históricamente estos dos elementos, que han llegado su apogeo de forma paralela en el siglo XX. El reconocimiento de este hecho supone la existencia de una estrecha vinculación entre ambos. Con el fin último de abordar tal estudio, es preciso en primera instancia obtener un profundo conocimiento sobre el recorrido del indigenismo a lo largo de su historia, y también es imprescindible realizar el análisis de algunas novelas latinoamericanas representativas, con la meta de examinar cualquier posible reflejo que haya podido tener el movimiento social indigenista en el ámbito literario. Al mismo tiempo, es requisito necesario investigar de qué manera la literatura, como instrumento útil a tal efecto, participa en la discusión de diferentes problemas sociales...
The present doctoral thesis tries first of all to investigate the relationship betweenthe indigenous social movement and Latin American literature. Formulated thiscentral objective, it is trying to find out how these two elements have historicallyinteracted, which have reached their peak in parallel in the twentieth century. Therecognition of this fact implies the existence of a close link between the two cases.With the ultimate goal of tackling such a study, it is necessary in the first instance toobtain a deep knowledge about the path of indigenism throughout its history, and it isalso essential to perform the analysis of some representative Latin American novels,with the goal of examining any possible I reflect that the indigenist social movementcould have had in the literary field. At the same time, it is necessary to investigatehow literature, as a useful instrument for this purpose, participates in the discussion ofdifferent social problems...
