Abstract
We are proposing to create a paradoxical object as a visible border between contemporary design and art. We defend that, in these two related fields, the conceptual and practical frontier is specified in objects that materialize the dou- ble bond, a communicative situation that in modernity was studied as a conflict that should be avoided and resolved, and is currently handled as an expressive and creative method. In addition to creating our own “double bind” object, which we call A moneybox of intentions, we also propose to classify and put in order the main types of paradoxical objects that draw the intersections between cu- rrent art and design, as a way to talk about how this dimensions converge and diverge in artifacts.
