Abstract
La demanda de leche de cabra ha aumentado en las últimas décadas, intensificándose su producción. Esto, unido a la escasa formación sanitaria de los productores, favorece el incremento de patologías infecciosas. La mastitis bacteriana, frecuentemente en forma subclínica, es un grave problema que no sólo afecta a la producción, sino también a la calidad y seguridad de la leche, genera pérdidas económicas y pone en riesgo la salud pública. Los principales microorganismos involucrados son estafilococos coagulasa negativos (ECN), Staphylococcus aureus y estreptococos. Marbofloxacina (MFX) es una fluoroquinolona de uso veterinario. Apenas existen estudios que promuevan su uso racional y prudente en caprinos en lactación. El presente estudio pretende analizar la relación farmacocinética/farmacodinámica (PK/PD) de MFX administrada a dosis única en cabras sanas, proponer un esquema posológico multidosis en cabras con mastitis subclínica, y comprobar su eficacia terapéutica...

Bacterial mastitis, often subclinical, is a serious problem that affects not only production but also the quality and safety of milk, generating economic losses and threatens public health.
