Abstract
A diferencia de algunas adhesiones anteriores y posteriores,
España desde su ingreso en la UE ha desempeñado un papel muy positivo en la maduración de la idea europea. Hemos aportado europeidad y una identidad renovada de Europa. Nuestra historia y cultura le ha permitido a la UE recuperar una identidad más genuinamente europea logrando un mayor equilibrio entre el Norte y el Sur.
Unlike some previous and subsequent accessions, Spain since joining the EU has played a very positive role in the maturation of the European idea. We have provided a renewed identity Europeanness and Europe. Our history and culture has allowed the EU to regain a genuinely European identity achieving a better balance between North and South.
