Abstract
Heart failure (HF) is a major public health problem. It is a frequent disease that deteriorates the quality of life of those patients who suffer from it. This disease conditions a high morbidity and mortality and implies a high health expenditure. For decades, they have been developed various research projects designed to identify those factors that influence the prognosis of HF. In recent years, research has focused on trying to develop predictive risk models of readmission and mortality in patients with HF. These models are developed from the combination of different poor prognostic factors previously identified in patients with HF. The objective of this work is to design predictive risk models of readmission and mortality during the first follow-up month in patients specifically admitted for a first episode of HF...
